Leslie Higdon, LCMHCA is a kind and compassionate therapist who cares deeply about providing a safe place for people to share their concerns, uncover their strengths, gain new perspectives, and increase their well-being. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 14 years of working with children, adolescents, and families. Leslie has gained experience in the schools and in private practice. She graduated from Salem College with her Master’s of Education and furthered her studies in Clinical Mental Health at NC Central University. Leslie enjoys working with people of all ages and has experience in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, behavioral issues, ADHD symptoms, and self-acceptance. Theoretically, Leslie uses a collaborative approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, Realistic, and Play Therapy.
